Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (INMAS), Mitdord, Dhaka is a Bangladesh Government Organization, of Ministry of Science & Technology under Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences, Mitdord, Dhaka is one of the oldest Nuclear Medicine institute in Bangladesh. With the vision to render specialized medical services to the people using nuclear technology for peaceful uses of atomic energy to achieve self-reliance for overall socio-economic development. 'Nuclear Medicine' is a specialized branch of medical science - where a team of physicians, physicists, chemists, technologists, computer and electronic engineers are working tirelessly to provide the best service.The peaceful and humane use of nuclear energy combines with advanced technology to diagnose and treat various diseases. 'Nuclear Medicine', is a specialized medical practice that helps in diagnosing and treating various diseases by applying very few radioactive substances. Nuclear treatment is safe and pain-free. The injection of radioactive material, is applied to the body through the mouth or inhaled. Different radioactive drugs are used for the examination of different organs. This institute is presently functioning with facilities like Dual Head & Single head SPECT Gamma Camera, CT Scanner, SPECT-CT Fusion image, Radio-iodine Therapy Unit, Thyroid Scanner, Ultrasonogram & Colour Doppler, Bone Mineral Density (BMD), In-Vitro Laboratory for Radioimmunoassay (RIA), Chemiluminescence Immunoassay (CLIA) and other necessary facilities. Our Primary goal is to provide excellent clinical service to our patients and our referring clinicians, and our secondary goal is to provide a good learning environment. A complementary goal is to provide the opportunity to participate in investigative endeavors for those who are inclined. You are integral to the success of both primary goals.
